Never in all my years have I won so many consecutive matches in a single session... felt good ( ' ◡ ')
Since the drop of Halo 3 to MCC PC, I have been increasingly running into highly skilled Twitch streamers both big and small. On this night during one of my solo matchmaking grinds, I ended up getting the opportunity to join a full party of them. We became a group of 8 unstoppable juggernauts and proceeded to wreck virtually every team we encountered for the rest of the night! We even managed to defeat some high profile former competitive players that we ran into throughout the night.

Part 1: Rush to Halo 3 Matchmaking!
Part 2: Squad Assembled!
Fun was had and new friends were made... Bungie Day - a once highly anticipated event among Halo fans - now an all-but forgotten holiday that only a handful of diehard fans still observe. To celebrate, AoU Commando, DK and I made a return to Halo 3 by first having some warm-up matches in Social Slayer. We then jumped into the otherwise dead "7 on the 7th" all DLC FFA playlist and made friends with some well-known members of the Halo 3 Reddit group. While I unfortunately lost my connection after only a few matches, DK and Commando continued on and eventually met with members of the Halo Competitionist collective. They managed to earn some new achievements and get plenty of footage from the matches which will likely soon be added to the AoU Legacy Films YouTube page. N00bs were slain...
Last not not least... Before diving from Social Slayer into the 7 on the 7th playlist, AoU Commando found what is perhaps the greatest screenshot ever taken in Halo history. See for yourself... "Hurry - to the hospital!" Created 9/28/2008 by an unknown player In conclusion, this was an amazingly successful Bungie Day! I hope that we can keep this momentum going.
Expect more updates to come in the following weeks. See you next time! An overdue return to a changed world It has been quite some time, but I finally made a return to the C&C DTA servers and matched up with some veteran players, including the one who is known as the best PvPer in the entire community. Needless to say, I got wrecked a good number of times. After the top player left however, the tides turned and I was able to hold my own against the other veteran players, at least to a stalemate in several matches. It seems that much has changed with the game itself after my lengthy absence, from new units to gameplay rebalances to new quality of life updates. A rusty blade still cuts Between being rusty at the game and trying to get a grasp of the many new changes to DTA since my last activity, I opted for a highly defensive play-style (TCS "Sleeping Giant" strategy) which paid off. My foes felt a sense of security as I held off on attacking until I had an entire fleet of aircraft at the ready for a swift and brutal take-down of their critical assets, rendering them helpless against anything I threw at them from then on.
More updates are to come soon regarding the conquest of DTA's servers. Until then!
Another successful game night! This time, we linked up with our friends of the clan D00t Eternal to rip and tear our way through some n00bs across Halo 2. Unfortunately, it was us who got ripped apart as we were no match for some of the players we encountered! Despite losing nearly every match we got thrown into, everyone still had a great time. Next time we outta bring our allies of Mahd Labs along so we may stand a chance!
Things are falling into place once again for our return to action; the drop of Halo 2 onto MCC PC was perhaps the catalyst for this. TCS and Mahd Labs have teamed up again in a rampage across MCC that has left countless n00bs utterly defeated and humiliated. Meanwhile, the AoU LF team has seemingly sprung back to life and has posted several recovered photographs from the AoU's glory days to to a newly made image gallery on the site.
Aside from TCS-AoU LF activity picking up, it would seem that the comeback of Halo 2 has brought back several familiar faces - notable adversaries and frenemies from the days of old. The servers are flooded with social activity, and from what our intel gathering efforts have shown, many clans both old and new are racing to claw their way to power. It may be time to rebuild our strength and reach out to any remaining AoU/early TCS-era allies and friends for support. We shall slash our way through the servers as we regain strength, cutting down any n00bs that stand in our way! Operation Comeback begins! To celebrate the launch of Halo 2 on MCC PC, we decided to have another game night. It felt surreal to be back on Halo 2 after so many years. We got crushed pretty hard repeatedly, but between the pizza pockets and good company, it was a great time. For a night, it felt just like the good ol' days again.
After a hiatus that lasted WAAAY too long, Mahd Labs and TCS joined forces once again to pwn some more noobs. We took the fight to Halo MCC on PC and absolutely crushed more foes than we could count.
I'm not sure if we'll stay active as a clan, but given the way our reunion went, it seems likely that we may party up again soon. Here's to hoping!
